Plan Carefully and Invest in Quality Branding
Take the time to really look at your short and long term goals and make an informed plan. Choosing the wrong marketing and promotional tools can end up spending too much of your start up money and put you on a trajectory in the wrong direction very quickly. Make sure your branding presentation is quality. A clear and professional logo; company uniforms; vehicle decals (permanent vs. the magnetic slap on ones); quality, readable business cards, etc. Reach out to the free or inexpensive resources that are available through the government and non-profit organizations. Don't see yourself as "too small" for certain things, such as setting up a proper CRM or investing in a quality website. You may be small to start, but one day when you are bigger, everything you need will be set up and organized, and it will be easier to grow faster. It will save you time and allow for you to focus on things you hadn't considered before when you were smaller. Lastly, do not underestimate yourself. Whatever value you place on your business and your profession, double that, and stand firm on it with confidence. You will turn some customers away for it, but eventually your value and reputation will build, the bar will be set, and people will respect that.

Embrace Unique Perspective
Embarking on the entrepreneurial journey, especially as a young woman, is both an exhilarating and challenging adventure. It's a path filled with learning, growth, and resilience. Here are some pieces of advice that I've found invaluable and hope can light the way for other aspiring or current young female entrepreneurs:
1. Embrace Your Unique Perspective: As a woman in the business world, you bring a unique set of experiences and insights. Embrace this diversity of thought. It's not just an asset but a powerful tool that can drive innovation and foster a more inclusive business environment.
2. Build a Support Network: Entrepreneurship can be isolating, but you don't have to go it alone. Seek out mentors, join networking groups, and surround yourself with peers who understand your challenges and can offer support, advice, and encouragement.
3. Be Resilient: The road to success is paved with failures and setbacks. Resilience isn't just about bouncing back; it's about learning from these experiences, adapting, and continuing to move forward with even more determination.
4. Prioritize Learning: The best entrepreneurs are perpetual students. Whether it's mastering new skills, understanding the latest market trends, or learning from feedback, a commitment to ongoing education will keep you and your business evolving.
5. Balance Confidence with Humility: Confidence is crucial for making bold decisions and taking risks. However, balancing this with humility allows you to be open to feedback, recognize when you need help, and appreciate the contributions of others.
6. Financial Literacy is Key: Understanding the financial aspects of running a business is crucial. From budgeting to financial planning, being savvy about your business’s finances will empower you to make informed decisions.
7. Self-Care is Not Optional: Entrepreneurship demands a lot, but neglecting your well-being can lead to burnout. Prioritize self-care as part of your routine; a healthy, well-rested entrepreneur is more effective and innovative.
8. Champion Other Women: As you climb, lift others with you. Championing women, whether through mentorship, collaboration, or support, strengthens the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem and paves the way for a more equitable business world.
9. Trust Your Instincts: There will be plenty of advice thrown your way, but learning to trust your instincts is paramount. Your gut feelings are often a powerful guide in making decisions that align with your values and goals.
10. Define Your Own Success: Success is not one-size-fits-all. Define what success means to you, whether it's making an impact, achieving work-life balance, or reaching financial milestones. This personal definition of success will guide your journey and keep you aligned with your values.
Remember, the journey of entrepreneurship is as much about personal growth as it is about business success. Each challenge is an opportunity to learn and each failure a stepping stone to your next success. Embrace the journey with openness, determination, and a commitment to your vision.

Setting Example through Company Values
As mothers of six daughters, we strive to always be setting an example of hard work, determination and balance. Our advice would be to align your company mission early on and stay steadfast in that alignment, set your "whys" early on and do not waiver. For us our "why" will always be our children, and in setting that "why" we have created a company that embodies the core values we care about in our own households. Non-toxic, eco-friendly and environmental consciousness are core goals we have as consumers so being able to create a brand that we can not only be proud to purchase from but also to have the opportunity to build is truly a dream come true. We truly feel it is easy to be passionate about what you are doing when you can be proud of what you are creating.

Authenticity Breeds Success
Being authentic is crucial in entrepreneurship.
In a sea of businesses, authenticity sets you apart. Your unique perspective, experiences, and values shape your brand's identity and resonate with your target audience.
Trying to emulate others dilutes your brand's authenticity and can hinder genuine connections with customers. Embrace your quirks, strengths, and passions. They're what make your business authentic and compelling. Remember, authenticity breeds trust, loyalty, and lasting success. So, be yourself—everyone else is already taken.

Focused Brand Creation
Get intentional - look at what the outcome is that you want, how you can use your unique talents to build a brand around those, and stay focused on that singular brand to be easily understandable in the marketplace. It doesn't mean you are giving up on leveraging all your talents, it just means you are creating a unique offering that no one else can duplicate, because no one else has the exact experience, expertise, passion or personality that you have combined to bring your endeavor to life.
Dr. Angela Mulrooney, Founder, Unleashing Influence Inc.
Leverage Your Unique Strengths
