Slow and Steady Growth

Slowly & profitably is the fastest way to reach where you want to be.

Value Proposition, Secure Clients

Common sense is your best guide.Put together your value proposition. What makes you unique, how are you different from your competitors. why would clients do business with you.Go out and secure your first client. Be choosey & build a reputation, touch a client everyday, never compromise on the deliverable.

Rose Fass, Founder, fassforward Consulting Group

Focus on Essentials and Goals

Do it.  Focus on the essentials, and build from there.  A detailed plan and goal is essential; you need to know what problems you’re solving and the best way to provide and offer solutions.  Keep focused on these essentials, and do not give up!

Dr. Darla Shaw, Founder, Talent Masters

Adapt and Find Your Niche

The most common journey to entrepreneurship isn't always the best. Whatever journey you take, learn from the challenges and obstacles you face, and be flexible to whatever is thrown at you. Also, find your niche! However specific it may be, there will be an audience for it!

Megan Mummery, Founder, OhSevenDays

Plan and Build Your Brand

Plan. Then work the plan, whether as a professional/employee or entrepreneur. Factor in a mentor or a coach to help you stay the course without derailment. Do not quit or abort prematurely; it compromises not just oneself, but the potential pipeline too. Be very astute in building a reputation  that becomes your “brand” quotient.

SADHANA SOMASEKHAR, Founder, PLATINUM INFOSYSTEMS PVT LTD

Stick to Your Plan for SuccessIt is very important to have an exact plan and stick to it and keep working on it. It might take years, especially if you don't have funds in the beginning. But it is sooo worth it once you get to the point where you want!

Diana Indries, Founder, Better Topics Ltd

Focus, Scale, and Collaborate

To young women aspiring to be entrepreneurs or already navigating the entrepreneurial path, my advice is to focus on your own intentions rather than getting caught in the comparison trap. It's easy to be swayed by what others are doing, but businesses that merely follow trends often struggle to succeed independently or outlast their competition. Avoid the temptation of trying to offer everything to everyone right from the start. Instead, scale your business wisely and strategically. Building a strong foundation before expanding too quickly can lead to long-term success. Prioritize quality over quantity in your offerings, ensuring that each aspect of your business aligns with your core values. Collaboration can be a powerful tool in entrepreneurship. Seek out partnerships with other brands that share your business values. Remember, high tides float all boats. By working together with like-minded businesses, you can create a supportive ecosystem that benefits everyone involved. Networking and collaboration can open doors to new opportunities and provide valuable insights. Lastly, believe in the unique value you bring to the table. Trust your instincts and stay true to your vision. Entrepreneurship is a journey that requires resilience and adaptability. Embrace challenges as learning opportunities and stay committed to your goals. With focus, strategic scaling, collaboration, and a steadfast belief in your intentions, you can navigate the entrepreneurial landscape with confidence and success.

Strategic Focus and Delegation

Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in the day-to-day that we forget the big picture. Building a business can be exhausting, but not everything needs to be done all at once, nor must you do it all by yourself. Commit to your Why, and take one step towards your why every day. Outsource administrative and repetitive tasks wherever you can or streamline them to specific days. Adapt a business mindset and focus on growth and staying lean.

Neha Govil, Founder, ThinkALOUD Works

Research for Business Success

Do the hard work of research about your product and potential buyers. This will ensure you are in a position to be a success based on the data you find.

Ashley Brundage, Founder,Empowering Differences Inc

Understand Value Proposition

Ensure you have a clear value proposition, backed by data. Being able to hold your ground and explain your reason goes a long way in convincing the customer. We also feel women shy from asking the right price for their product/ service. Personal Finance is a must know skill, so spend some time to understand the money side of business too.
