Amy Meadows, Founder and CEO of SmartHER Ventures Inc, is redefining entrepreneurial education by transforming the traditional business accelerator model into a compelling reality show. Founded in 2025 and based in Richmond, USA,

SmartHER Ventures takes a business accelerator and turns it into a 12-episode reality series, following five women-led companies through their entrepreneurial journey.

Each episode is themed around a business topic—such as Legal, Finance, Design, and Impact—featuring guest expert-led lessons, gamified challenges, and pitch competitions, all leading to a Demo Day finale where one team wins.

Amy has been building this show concept for five years through research and market identification, filming and editing a pilot episode, writing an 80-page teleplay script (IP), completing Founder Institute, and building a team with Emmy-winning producers and Shark Tank's Casting Director.

The Vision Behind SmartHER Ventures

Most accelerators teach about 10–30 companies at a time, but they lack the volume of investors. Y Combinator teaches 200 companies at a time to increase scale, but can't deeply support each company, which especially hurts women and marginalized founders.

SmartHER Ventures changes this equation by working deeply with five women-led companies per season and then airing the content to millions of people. By Season 3, the talent and background knowledge of founders is expected to increase because they have access to study previous seasons and come in more prepared.

The company is bypassing the barriers of time, cost, and location to deliver entrepreneurial education directly to streaming devices.

A Journey of Persistence and Purpose

Amy has been building SmartHER Ventures for almost five years. Along the way, she has overcome numerous hurdles:

  • Creating an MVP and intellectual property (IP)

  • Battling impostor syndrome

  • Managing the costs and legal barriers that slowed progress

  • Building a talented team that believes in the vision

Her leadership journey began long before launching SmartHER Ventures. Amy worked her way from a mailroom in the basement to the C-Suite level, learning empathetic leadership at each turn. Her passion is to use her experience and insights to create positive outcomes for the most marginalized populations.

Career Highlights That Shaped Her Leadership

Selected highlights from Amy's career include:

  • Built Eluvio from 0 to a global team of 30 employees, integrating clever strategies, and overseeing an annual $5M budget

  • Improved revenue 100% at Impact Hub Berkeley within six months through innovative planning and streamlined project execution

  • Designed and managed tradeshow booths and led a wide array of meetings and networking parties for 200+ people as the principal liaison

  • Selected to oversee a clinical trial for 3,000 participants over three years, ensuring ethical alignment despite significant logistical challenges

  • Conducted neurodevelopmental tests for NIH-funded research studies on autism, PTSD, schizophrenia, and substance abuse

These experiences gave Amy deep expertise in people management, strategy development, operations management, project management, budgeting, and complex problem-solving—all of which she brings to SmartHER Ventures.
