Support Female Colleagues

Don’t let the male-oriented world get in your way. There is strength in numbers - stay close to your female colleagues, we are in this together.

Harsha Malaney, Founder, Miss Harsha’s Tutorials

Promote Financial Independence

Every women in this world should should stand on their own legs it not only supports financially but also tells what am " I" , self independent  , can support other women by giving them job etc.,

Muthu Sujatha, Founder, Ivonic Design

Integrate Life and Work

Don't accept the barriers society gives you about having to compartment alise who you are in order to succeed. When you're a working woman, there is no such thing as work life balance, there is just life. By accepting our fluid and every changing natures, we can use them to our advantage and create a holistic approach to life and work as one integrated existence. Imagine what's possible without resistance!

Amy Wilson, Founder, Rebrandr

Be focused and determined.

Be focused and determined. And in entrepreneurship, you are never a women; its never gender biased. Only hard work pays.

Nikita Roy, Founder, 1 Solution

Overcome Gender Bias and Build Networks

There is a lot of fear around how people will see a femal-identifying entrepreneur, especially if they enter a childbearing period. Don't be afraid. Look at incredible role models that have shown us the way - Jacinda Arden, having a child as a young Prime Minister. Also build a network with your fellow female entrepreneurs and help them - if possible 3 times more than you are helped. It will come back to you. If you encounter set backs, find mentors you can trust - male or female - and lean on them. You are not alone. The future is female.

Janet Salem, Founder, FootprintLab

Women Are Capable; Find a Mentor

That the sky is the limit and that women are just as capable as men to start and succeed in any industry. However, I would recommend finding a mentor who is experienced in the field in which you want to start your business. It helps tremendously in building a network and avoiding mistakes.

Victoria Noack, Founder, HealthMe App (Declareme GmbH)

Acknowledge, Reject Limitations

In many industries where the traditional power structure has landed within the male realm, it is a prevalent narrative that success is limited if you want to be a leader. The subtle context is that success for “you” (as a female) is limited. It often causes conflict between other women, pitting us against each other to grow and expand. This is equally true in the entrepreneurial world. My advice is to acknowledge but reject that there can not be space or success enough for all of us, and actively engaging in communities that support and encourage women gives us the ability to reframe our experiences while building a network of like-minded people to share the struggles, success, and dreams we have for our businesses, our communities, and our worlds.

Rachel Anderson, Founder, Pivot Studios, LLC

Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs

This era is for women entrepreneurs. Look for the opportunities, don't restrict yourself, dream big and achieve. I see more opportunities for women than men. It all depends on the perception. There are many networking platforms, startup mentors, govt. Schemes supporting women entrepreneurs. Aim high, start focusing, stop cribbing on the failures and negatives. You will definitely see the grass greener at your side. Perseverance is the key for every successful business. There should be a positive attitude. We should stay determined to play the game, and we should never give up whatever happens.

Challenge Gender Norms

Do not let anyone tell you what you cannot do, even go and do what you think is a mans job. When I was creating my studio I had to deal with vendors and contractors who were all men. My family asked men who are my cousins to come help but I declined.

Zeel Soni, Founder, Aerial Arts India

Assert Confidence and Eliminate Doubt

One thing I've seen time & again is all of the ways we as women are societally conditioned to diminish ourselves, often in such subtle, nuanced ways. Be mindful of that, aware of it, even in something as seemingly insignificant as our word choices. While helping women develop their pitch decks, I see it every time a female founder hesitates in their projections, decreasing their size and scope. I see it every time a female founder says, "I hope we'll do X", and "If we accomplish this." Remove those words of doubt! Remove the hesitation! Replace "if" with "when". Replace "hope" with "we will." Be realistic with your numbers, of course, but don't apologize for the true scale of what you will accomplish. When all else fails, ask yourself, WWWMD? What would a white man do? Would he hesitate? Would he show anything but absolute confidence? Borrow some of that white boy energy! Borrow some of that confidence and tenacity! Stand your ground, don't back down, and fight for what you deserve.
