"Purpose and Innovation"

The entrepreneurial journey is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride - full of challenges and surprises. It's not an easy path, but it's worth pursuing when you have a vision or cause to champion. Starting something new is never easy, but finishing what you started is even more challenging. Therefore, why you do what you do is essential. When the road gets rocky, your purpose will sustain you.

Many women fear failure, but there is no success without failures. So, follow your heart and pursue your dreams; enjoy the process, fail fast and rise confidently each time. We only live once. The weight of regret is always heavier than the weight of failures you will face on your way to success. Trust God with the process, encourage yourself each day and ask for help along the journey.

Ps: For women in STEM entrepreneurs, particularly those navigating the intricate landscape of AR-VR-AI technologies, your contributions are invaluable. Embrace the challenges, harness the power of technology to drive meaningful change and let your creativity soar. Your unique blend of perspective, empathy, and technical skills will unlock new frontiers, create a more human-centred technology advancement and shape the future of innovation.

Embrace the Unknown and Adapt

In this reflective message, the entrepreneur shares insights on embracing uncertainty, staying resilient, and learning from weaknesses, explaining that not knowing everything at the start fueled their drive and curiosity. They emphasize the importance of persistence, trusting your gut, leaning into uncomfortable tasks, and staying focused, using the metaphor of untangling wires as a reminder to tackle challenges one at a time. Key takeaways include not worrying about pleasing everyone, finding joy in the journey, and remembering to "run into the unknown," trusting the process to reveal opportunities and growth.

Trust, Innovate, and Iterate

Embrace your unique perspective and strengths. Being an entrepreneur is a challenging path but it is also a rewarding one. I've found the most success when I trust but verify; what that means to me is that I trust myself and put my vision out whether it's complete or not and then verify by getting feedback from mentors, prospective and current customers, friends, industry experts, etc and then iterate, your first output doesn't (and shouldn't) have to be perfect, just get it out there.

Ask questions! If you don't know something or aren't sure, take a course, ask someone, google it, there is so much information available to us, seek it out. Be sure to find people with differing perspectives than you. My co-founder does not come from healthcare in the traditional sense and having him to bounce ideas off of and answering his questions from an "outsider" perspective has led to more innovation in an industry that is notoriously slow to innovate.

The final thing I will say (here) is to be prepared for rejection, a lot of it, but try not to take it personally. Your idea, business, vision, even you as a person may be rejected and that's ok! YOU have the power to adapt and change IF YOU WANT TO, not all feedback is good feedback so be discerning and make sure that you're staying true to your mission. I always say we're building a home so we're very thoughtful about our roadmap and what changes we make to our offering and message, we've all seen that house with a weird addition or deck that doesn't match the vibe, don't be that house, you can't be everything for everyone.

Embrace Technology and Innovation

There will be waves of self-doubt as you're getting started, especially in the early stages. Push through. The self doubt fades and on the other side your dreams become a reality.

Kate MacCabe, Founder, Flywheel Strategy

Follow Your Passion

Follow Passion and Embrace Failure

For young women aspiring to become entrepreneurs, I encourage embracing your unique blend of skills and passions. Don't be afraid to challenge the status quo and pursue your innovative ideas with confidence. Seek out mentors who can offer guidance and support, and don't underestimate the power of resilience in the face of setbacks. Remember that every obstacle is an opportunity for growth, and stay committed to your vision even when the path ahead seems daunting. Above all, believe in yourself and your ability to make a meaningful impact in your chosen field.
