Embracing Inner Strength and Power

The quote by Marianne Williamson sums it up perfectly: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Inclusivity and Lifelong Learning in Business

Be inclusive. People have a tendency to be protective of themselves and their work, and don't like to give anything away. But there is no legacy in business, really. You will go further being someone people want to work with, rather than focusing solely on producing the best work. Be kind. Share knowledge. Never stop learning. And find a way to care about what you do, and how it makes a difference in the world.

Passion and Impact in Career

Hard work and loving what you do makes for a wonderful career. Find a way to leave the world knowing you made it better for others.

Lisa Streett-Liebetrau, Founder, Camp Koala

Trusting Instincts and Learning from Mistakes

Trust your instinct. You will make a lot of mistakes along the way and those are so vital for your growth. Don't let the mistakes grind you down, learn from them and become a better, stronger version of yourself because of them. You know yourself and your dreams/goals better than anyone so trust in the process, work hard, get help when you need it and GO FOR IT! You got this.

The Importance of Networking and Mentorship

Network. Talk with mentors - involve yourself with people that are there to support your growth.

Ruth Tegen, Founder, Sunny Hollow Careers

Leveraging Personal Strengths

find your own strengths and use them - do not try to fit into any given role

Julia Kupke ,Founder, Lotaro GmbH

Entrepreneurship as a Path to Healing and Growth

Starting this organisation, made me heal and grieve my mom differently. I encourage all to do a cause that's greater than them.

NANCY GITHOITHO, Founder, LIMAU CANCER CONNECTION

Learning from Challenges

Always have faith in yourself, but also be open to learning and forging new relationships and synergies. One must also understand that there is no such thing as failure, only fascination. Learn from challenges and view them as a chance to not only grow, but thrive.

Kate Cooper-Fay ,Founder, CXY Limited

Navigating Solo Entrepreneurship

Being a "one-man show" is hard work, especially when you have no experience running your own business. However, if you're passionate about your mission, you'll figure out everything else! And don't be afraid to ask for help from friends and connections on social media, especially LinkedIn. The folks there are genuine and happy to help coach others because they/we want to see them succeed.

Lisa Edmondson, Founder, Leadership Reno, LLC

Embracing Failure and Challenges

Don't be afraid to fail, or to admit you don't know something. Raise your hand for the tough stuff that interests you, and then figure out how to overdeliver. You have no idea how HUGE you can become until you get there.

Emily McIntyre, Founder, Catalyst Trade
