The Path to Success: Self-Belief, Mentorship, and Skill Building

Believe in Yourself: Have confidence in your abilities and believe that you can succeed. Don't let self-doubt hold you back.  Find Mentors and Role Models: Seek out mentors and role models who can offer guidance and support. Look for successful women entrepreneurs who have gone through the same challenges you may face.  Build a Support Network: Surround yourself with a supportive network of family, friends, and colleagues who believe in your vision and can provide emotional and practical support.  Focus on Building Skills: Continuously build your skills and knowledge. Attend workshops, seminars, and other events that can help you improve your skills.  Be Passionate: Pursue a business that you are passionate about. This will help you stay motivated and committed, even when faced with challenges.

Overcoming the Comparison Trap in Entrepreneurship

Don't fall victim to the comparison trap. I did this early on and it led me down a very destructive path. It resulted in me feeling inadequate, unaccomplished, less-than, and unworthy. It was a gateway for imposter syndrome to take hold. I quickly realised that this was very unhealthy, and I took steps to minimise it. I stopped looking at my competitors' social media and realised that the world needs MY gifts and talents that are unique to me. I also kept reminding myself of my ethos which was working every day to improve the lives of women. I know that my purpose is WHAT matters. I also keep a quote on my desk that says, "We won't be distracted by comparison if we are captivated by purpose".

Six Essential Tips for Entrepreneurial Flexibility and Success

Here are my top 6 tips on what makes it easier: 1. Flexibility: Entrepreneurship offers us flexibility. Know that. Take advantage of it.  2. Have Role Models. Have mentors. Talk to them.  3. Take help – When someone is reaching out and offering help, don’t hesitate.  4. Be at peace with your decision. You will struggle. You will feel that you are not doing justice to your company or to your kid or to your partner or to someone. Make peace with it so that you are not feeling guilty all the time.  5. Don't come under pressure to mold yourself and become a guy to succeed. Don’t feel forced to talk about beer and cricket only. Talk about shopping and haircuts if you want to. This is who we are and discussing this stuff at work does not make us any less professional. It is these little instances that add up to become your company’s culture. 6. Invest in Relationships. Your venture will suck a lot of your time. Don’t lost track of what is most important in your life. What really matters.
