Clear Vision and Faith
Be clear on your vision and mission, persevere, reach out to the best in your field to educate, mentor and coach you, ensure your product and service makes the world a bit better, and have faith in yourself and God.
Dr. Anneli Driessen, Founder, International Metaphysical Academy Inc.
Bravery, Mentorship, and Risk-Taking
Be brave, take chances and never give up - and lean on your wingmen along the way. It was a huge leap of faith to leave a comfortable and familiar federal career to become an entrepreneur. You have to be willing to take that leap, knowing that it won't be easy, to move forward. Having strong mentors, who can help you take that leap, and advise you as your journey continues, is key - not only for their advice, but to know you are not in this alone.
Dawn Zoldi (Colonel USAF, Retired), Founder, P3 Tech Consulting LLC
Embrace Perspective and Resilience
Embrace your unique perspective, build a supportive network, stay resilient through setbacks, prioritize what matters, exercise self-awareness, master financial literacy, and remember that your entrepreneurial journey can inspire others and contribute to a more equitable world.
Emily Choo, Founder, Gem Comm
Confidently Pursue Change
Be confident about the change that you would like to bring in the society through your entrepreneurial action. Perceive it and achieve it.
Agathya Selvakumar, Founder, FIN N MIN
Dare to Dream and Overcome Challenges
Breaking Glass ceilings take willpower, dare to dream and to chase it vigorously. Women should be open to take challenges and are nothing less compared to a man. Work hard with courage and never give up. "You are meant for great things in Life and you surely can bring in impact to lives around"
Jenny Andrews, Founder, STUDIOJ Private Limited
Stay Focused and Confident
There is no better feeling than creating a place where other can go to escape their everyday lives and focus on them even if it’s just for 45 minutes. I never thought so many lives would be changed and how many friendships would be formed by opening Tread. My story is far from over; I would say this is only the first part of the series. My advice to other female entrepreneurs is to stay focused, be confident, and don't be afraid to ask for help.
Lori Haverty, Founder, Tread, LLC
Courage and Purpose Driven Leadership
To the young woman forging her path in this world, remember this: courage is your greatest companion on the journey to success. Create a personal board of directors to mentor and sponsor you throughout your career; take risks - it is a catalyst for growth. Trust in your resilience and inner strength; know you can overcome any challenge, even in uncertainty. Ground yourself in the clarity of your purpose; your "why" is the driving force behind every step you take. With courage as your compass and determination as your guide, there's no limit to what you can achieve. Believe in yourself, and the world will follow suit.
Kim Steppe, Founder, RISEQUITY, Inc.
Invest in People and Hire Leaders
As a leader and entrepreneur, here are some insights I would like to share with young women:
1. No one is an expert in everything so, invest in people that you know are going to do what you can’t do.
2. Hire for passion and attitude.
3. Be the calm person in the room. Set the tone internally and externally.
4. Hire leaders that you trust as early as possible.
5. ”If someone you respect believes you can do it, then believe you can do it.” Stephanie Taylor

Ask for Support as Leader
My advice would be to believe in your offering and if you believe in your services or product, others will too. When I first started I didn't know what to call myself, or how to sell myself and that was because I didn't think I had what it takes to be freelance, never mind a business owner. I had to realise that it doesn't just happen at the click of a finger either. An idea is formed, and it can change, and you need to be ok with pivoting when you need to. Success doesn't materialise overnight; it's the accumulation of small victories, each one inching you closer to your dreams. In the beginning, the road may seem endless, but as you persist, you'll look back in awe at the progress made in just a matter of months. Confidence and patience are your allies in this journey. Embrace the process, knowing that every setback is a lesson learned, and every milestone achieved is a testament to your dedication. Remember, building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. If you fuel your endeavors with passion and perseverance, success is inevitable. So, take that leap of faith, and let your entrepreneurial spirit soar!
