Luxury is often associated with aspiration, aesthetics, and exclusivity. But for Vani Talwar Khosla and Paridhi Sekhri, luxury is defined by something far more enduring—structure, care, and consistency.
Based in New Delhi, the two entrepreneurs are the driving forces behind The Powder Room and Tidy Up—two brands that operate in different spaces but are united by a shared philosophy: premium experiences should be reliable, thoughtful, and designed to last.
From Fragmentation to Professionalisation
Founded in 2013 by Vani Talwar Khosla, The Powder Room emerged at a time when India’s bridal and event beauty industry was largely unorganised and artist-dependent. What clients lacked was predictability—of quality, timing, and execution.
Vani addressed this gap by building a scalable, process-driven model for luxury beauty services. The Powder Room offers mobile, door-to-door hair and makeup services delivered by trained teams operating under standardised systems. This approach enabled the brand to manage large weddings, destination events, and time-sensitive luxury engagements with consistency and professionalism.
Over the years, the brand has become a trusted partner for five-star hotels, wedding planners, and discerning clients across India and international destinations—while remaining bootstrapped and profitable.
Where Luxury Ownership Truly Begins
In 2021, Vani joined hands with Paridhi Sekhri to co-found Tidy Up, a brand born from a simple but powerful observation: purchasing luxury is only the beginning—maintaining it is where real value lies.
Tidy Up is a functional luxury-care brand focused on protecting and extending the life of high-value possessions. Through premium organisers, shapers, storage solutions, and travel products, the brand bridges the gap between ownership and long-term care.
Rather than positioning itself as an accessories label, Tidy Up approaches design with intention—balancing aesthetics, durability, and sustainability. Its products enable mindful ownership, helping customers preserve the structure and condition of handbags, shoes, and personal collections over time.
The brand has since scaled nationwide through e-commerce, established a physical retail presence at Meherchand Market in New Delhi, and built a loyal customer base that values quality over excess.
A Partnership Built on Complementary Strengths
The success of Tidy Up lies in the complementary leadership styles of its founders.
Vani Talwar Khosla brings strategic depth and operational discipline, backed by academic training in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Luxury Brand Management from Istituto Marangoni, Milan. Her focus on systems, profitability, and long-term sustainability anchors both ventures.
Paridhi Sekhri, with a background in business, marketing, and fashion design from NIFT, leads creative direction and brand storytelling. Her design sensibility ensures that functionality never compromises elegance, allowing Tidy Up to resonate emotionally while remaining practical.
Together, they represent a balance of business rigour and creative intuition—an approach that has allowed both brands to grow with clarity and purpose.
Purpose Beyond Products
Beyond commercial success, both founders demonstrate a commitment to building responsible, people-centric businesses. Whether through structured teams, thoughtful product design, or brands that prioritise longevity over disposability, their work reflects a deeper understanding of value.
Their efforts have been recognised through industry awards and features across leading media platforms, but their impact is most evident in the trust they have earned from customers who return not just for products or services—but for peace of mind.
Redefining Modern Luxury
Through The Powder Room and Tidy Up, Vani Talwar Khosla and Paridhi Sekhri are quietly redefining what modern luxury looks like in India. It is no longer just about beauty or ownership—it is about how experiences are delivered, how possessions are cared for, and how thoughtfully businesses are built.
In a market often driven by speed and spectacle, their brands stand as examples of what happens when luxury is approached with structure, intention, and respect—for both the customer and the craft.
