Resilience and Balance in the Entrepreneurial Life

I have two key pieces of advice, which I repeatedly keep giving to myself as well. 1. Don't be afraid or disheartened by rejection. It is constant and really so what? Anyone who won a competition, an award or a race was in it in the first place. For every yes there will be many no's so you have to push through it. Refine your ideas, keep at it, build on the bases. And talk about it, get input, speak to your colleagues, friends, family, practice, practice, practice. 2. Entrepreneurship can really be overwhelming, you can basically work 24/7 if your body doesn't stop you. And that isn't good, the to-do list doesn't get shorter, so you have to find a balance where you can, for me my kids made that happen, but look after your body and your mind, burnout is seen at work, your team sees it and your work suffers. Balance is important.
