Female Entrepreneurship and External Appreciation

Just remember that your work IS appreciated by many people you don't personally know. By being a female and an  entrepreneur, you are already an inspiration to others. Let that thought help keep you motivated when you're feeling challenged!

Danielle Southcott, Founder, Veer Group

Fearlessness and Learning in Female Leadership

We need more women building, leading and scaling companies in every sector. My advice for women is to be fearless, failure is simply a way to learn and grow.

Rathna Sharad , Founder, FlavorCloud Inc.

Female Entrepreneurial Support and Belief

Believe in yourself. Make sure to have a support system/exchange with other female entrepreneurs. This is indispensable in order to put your experience into the right context and get advice that actually suits you (female advice differs from male advice, both are important, but it helps to have a like minded view).

Kimberly Breuer, Founder, Likeminded

Comprehensive Leadership and Entrepreneurial Approach

Embrace curiosity and passion as guiding lights, perpetually seek knowledge and explore diverse facets of life. Uphold continuous learning, fusing formal education with ongoing skill enhancement. Fearlessly champion your unique leadership style, fostering authenticity, open dialogue, and trust. Cultivate creativity, enabling innovative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking and embrace resilience, taking ownership of both triumphs and setbacks, while building a robust professional network to bolster growth. Strike a balance between personal and professional commitments and envision your own legacy beyond financial success.

Vicki Schmidt, Founder, Realty ONE Group Eastern Canada

Holistic Approach to Women's Entrepreneurship

To all the young women out there with dreams of entrepreneurship or who are already on this incredible journey, I want to offer some advice that I've learned along the way:  Believe in Yourself: Your ideas, your vision, and your unique perspective matter. Believe in your capabilities and trust that you have something valuable to offer.  Embrace Failure as Learning: Every setback is a stepping stone to success. Don't be afraid of failure; instead, see it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and refine your approach.  Find Mentors and Allies: Surround yourself with people who inspire and uplift you. Seek mentors who have walked the path before you, and build a supportive network of fellow entrepreneurs who understand the journey.  Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: Growth happens when you push your boundaries. Embrace challenges and step out of your comfort zone; that's where you'll discover your true potential.  Stay Resilient: Entrepreneurship isn't always smooth sailing, but your resilience will carry you through the tough times. Believe in your mission and keep pushing forward.  Continuously Learn: The world of business is always evolving. Stay curious and commit to lifelong learning. Adaptation is key to staying relevant and innovative.  Take Calculated Risks: Fear of the unknown can hold you back. While it's important to be prudent, don't shy away from taking calculated risks that have the potential to propel your business forward.  Prioritise Self-Care: Running a business can be demanding, but taking care of yourself is essential. Burnout won't serve your vision; ensure you make time for rest, rejuvenation, and personal growth.  Authenticity is Your Superpower: Your authenticity is what will set you apart. Embrace who you are, let your passion shine, and connect with your audience on a real level.  Celebrate Every Victory: Whether big or small, celebrate your accomplishments. Each step forward is a testament to your hard work and dedication.  Remember Your Why: On tough days, remember why you started. Reconnect with your purpose, and let it fuel your determination.  Entrepreneurship is an exhilarating adventure filled with challenges and rewards. Your journey is uniquely yours, and the impact you can make is limitless. So, step forward with confidence, chase your dreams, and never forget that you have the power to create meaningful change.

Empowering Through Example

If she can, you can.

Danielle O'Keefe, Founder, The House that Dan built

Legitimacy and Quality in Women's Entrepreneurship

I've been approached by potential investors, and their comment has often been that a woman will be more cautious, less of a go-getter.   I think you can be cautious and go for it, but never underestimate the strength that we women have in wanting to be legitimate first and foremost. It's a guarantee of quality if you want to establish your business and earn your reputation.

Marie Dubreucq, Founder, Bridge UP srx

Embracing Womanhood as Entrepreneurial Strength

Don't think you are a woman. Think you are an entrepreneur that has the incredible chance to be a woman that will stand out. It's your strength

Sophie Chemla, Founder, NFT TELAVIV

Embracing Risks for Success

Feel the fear and do it anyway! Be brave. Be bold. It is necessary to take risks to achieve success and your mindset and determination both play key factors on your path to success.

Erin Crowe, Founder, Studio Recovery

Overcoming Comparison in Entrepreneurship

Theodore Roosevelt once said "Comparison is the thief of joy" and I think that is particularly true in the entrepreneurial world. It is so easy to look at other peoples websites and companies and despair of ever reaching similar levels of success. But remember, we all start with precisely nothing, just a hint of an idea, that we have to bring our energy and belief to, day after day.

Claire Merrifield, Founder, Selph
